Regional Freight Manager - Europe & CIS

Product Area (PA) Global Tools and Services is seeking a Regional Freight Manager within the Logistics Services Division, who will have responsibility for the continuous improvement of service, cost and quality of freight management deliverables in the Europe and CIS region.

Product Area (PA) Global Tools and Services is seeking a Regional Freight Manager within the Logistics Services Division, who will have responsibility for the continuous improvement of service, cost and quality of freight management deliverables in the Europe and CIS region.
Key performance areas:
- Develop and implement freight management strategies within Europe and CIS
- Align local and regional freight management with global freight strategy to gain maximum synergies
- Benchmark and follow up with relevant service providers regarding services, cost, quality and reliability
- Develop, lead and collaborate on projects to deliver freight related improvements within Europe and CIS
- Lead Request For Information (RFI) / Request For Proposals (RFP) / Request For Quotations (RFQ) processes, as will be required to improve or sustain service, cost and quality performance; Own optimization service provider implementation processes
- Manage performance of Service Providers to agreed KPIs
- Support freight operational work processes and Control Tower teams
- Manage inbound and outbound freight services for Europe and CIS
- Own implementation and adherence of freight related processes within Europe and CIS
- Provide optimal routing and carrier selection for the efficient and economical movement of products
- Own transportation cost and implement initiatives to enhance cost efficiency
- Provide transportation expertise to internal and external stakeholders
- The Regional Freight Manager (Europe & CIS) will be a member of the Global Freight Management team, reporting to the Head of Global Freight Management – Felix Osae-Danso
Your Profile:
- A Leader in Transportation Management/Logistics / Supply Chain with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
- Proven negotiation experience
- Understand operational logistics in all facets; experience in operational logistics
- Demonstrated use of analytics to support business decision making
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and drive business change as well as continuous improvement
- Ability to build and manage relationships across business functions and cultures
- Working knowledge of Trade Compliance
- Good communication skills
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines consistently
- Dynamic team player who can successfully build partnerships and champion enthusiasm across geographic and organizational boundaries
- Project management experience
- Financial/Business Knowledge accumen
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
