Head of Organisational Governance and Member Advisory (HOGMA)

The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Head of Organisational Governance and Member Advisory, to join us on a 12 months contract. This role could be based anywhere Save the Children currently operates e.g. in Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East or the Americas.
In this role you will work with key stakeholders across the organisation (including the Governance Committee of the Save the Children Association, which holds the membership framework for Save the Children’s 30+ member organisations) to strengthen member organisation accountability across the network and drive existing work on organisational development.
To be successful in this complex business-partnering role you’ll have proven leadership experience at a senior level, in leading the creation and implementation of a strategy, and with change management, program or organisational planning. You’ll also bring a track record in successful project management, the ability to think creatively, an be able to influence utilising ‘soft power’,  
On a personal level you'll be able to work in a culturally diverse setting, be able to build personal networks at a senior level and improve engagement; and be able to travel for up to 25%.
The role has a competitive package in the context of the sector.
The organisation
We employ approximately 17,000 people across the globe and work on the ground in over 60 countries to help children affected by crises, or those that need better healthcare, education and protection. We also campaign and advocate at the highest levels to realise children’s rights and ensure their voices are heard.

  • No child dies from preventable causes before their 5th birthday
  • All children learn from a quality basic education and that,
  • Violence against children is no longer tolerated
