350.org is seeking a full-time Climate Impacts Coordinator to develop and implement a variety of projects related to climate impacts and climate disasters, primarily by working with 350.org staff and allies around the world.

Our online campaigns, grassroots organizing, and mass public actions are led from the bottom up by thousands of volunteer organizers in over 188 countries. 350.org works hard to organize in a new way—everywhere at once, using online tools to facilitate strategic offline action. We want to be a laboratory for the best ways to strengthen the climate movement and catalyze transformation around the world.
About the Climate Impacts Coordinator
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work with a variety of stakeholders with different demands in a range of complex environments. This position provides ample opportunities for both collaborative and independent work. During times of acute climate disasters, the workload may be heavy, fast-moving and require travel and commitment beyond the traditional demands of a 9-5 job.
The Climate Impacts Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
- Developing, managing, and implementing creative projects to connect the dots between climate change, extreme weather, and slower-moving climate impacts.
- Creating online content (email blasts, social media content) around climate disasters that changes the dominant narrative, engages new people, respects local culture, supports long-term resilience, and leverages pressure on targets.
- Working with 350 staff on digital, communications, and regional responses to climate disasters.
- Cultivating a network of partner organizations to assist in climate disaster response efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent writing skills, with experience developing content for an online audience.
- A track record of developing and implementing complex projects.
- A demonstrated commitment to developing and maintaining strong working relationships with and among a diverse group of stakeholders.
Desired (but not required) skills and experiences
- Working knowledge of disaster relief and recovery work.
- Online campaigning experience.
- A background in climate change communications and/or science.
- Video production or editing skills
- Graphic design skills
