REQUIREMENTS
- University Degree in Medicine and Surgery with further specialisation in Paediatrics
- Good knowledge of written and spoken Portuguese
- Previous experience in Developing Countries
- Previous experience in the field of training in African context will be an asset
PROJECT OBJECTIVES Contribute to the improvement of quality of care in paediatric area
KEY DUTIES The pediatrician/neonatologist is responsible for the Department of Pediatrics and Malnutrition Unit:The specific tasks will be:
- ensure the management of Pediatric Department and supervise the Malnutrition Unit
- guarantee the supervision of the management of newborn, applying procedures and improving management
- ensure the management of pediatric patients with HIV/AIDS, through proper organization of VCT
- provide assistance to pediatric patients with Tuberculosis
- collaborate to training on the job of health personnel
- support data collection regarding the activities of the Pediatric Department, the malnutrition unit and the PMTCT program
- collaborate with the medical director for the improvement of hospital management
HOW TO APPLY:
Selection interviews will take place at Cuamm HQ in Italy (Padua) or at Country offices in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Travel expenses are paid by the candidate.
