The Company
Our Client, Kenya Power owns and operates most of the electricity transmission and distribution system in the country and sells electricity to over 2.6 million customers. The Company’s key mandate is to ensure sufficient electricity transmission capacity to meet demand; build and maintain the power distribution and transmission network and retail electricity to its customers.
To support its objectives of growth, expansion and sustained profitability, Kenya Power is looking to recruit high caliber, strategic, results oriented, performance driven, conscientious and passionate individuals, to fill the following position of Manager Enablement and Operational Excellence
Roles & Responsibilities
The Manager, Enablement &Operational Excellence will report to General Manager, Supply Chain and will be responsible for the enhancement and refining of supply chain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
•Participate in the development of supply chain strategy through the provision of input and suggestions on supply chain operational excellence;
•Participate in the development and refining of existing supply chain policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
•Participate in the development of the Supply Chain Divisional budget through the provision of input into the Enablement and Operational Excellence function budget;
•Conduct market intelligence to advise on best practice that can be employed to improve on supply chain department process.
•Coordinate procurement for all the departments in the Company on behalf of the Division
•Ensure full compliance to the Procurement Act, policies and procedures in line with the Public Procurement Oversight Authority;
•Promote efficiency and effectiveness in the use of e- procurement in the Company in order to support value for money;
•Ensure proper management of supply chain documentation (e.g. the vendor master files) for easy retrieval when required, to enhance efficiency in operations;
•Ensure that the information in the master files is correct in order to support informed decision making;
•Conduct process reviews for enhancement purposes with the objective of improving the efficiency and effectiveness in supply chain function;
•Manage reporting processes on supply chain to enhance compliance to timelines and quality standards.
Requirements
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from a reputable institution;
•Possession of a Master's Degree will be an added advantage;
•Graduate Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies or equivalent;
• S/He should be a member of a relevant professional body;
•A minimum of ten (10) years working experience.
