KOMPAK Technical Advisory Panel – Group B

Summary
As the Managing Contractor for KOMPAK, Abt JTA is preparing to appoint a number of experts across a wide variety of technical areas. The role of the panel will be to ensure expert advisers can be swiftly mobilised for short-term engagements in Indonesia. Our panel will act as a first point of response to requirements for short-term advisers. Once appointed, our panel members will enjoy the benefits of an enduring partnership with Abt JTA and KOMPAK as we make a difference within Indonesia.
Expression of Interest
We are currently seeking applications from experienced professionals across various areas of expertise for a range of roles and positions with the KOMPAK program in Indonesia.
Program Overview
KOMPAK is a large and complex program that is uniquely placed to support the Government of Indonesia (GoI) in implementing its medium term development plan for reducing poverty and inequalities for its citizens.
The program comprises a corporate and operations support platform and multiple program streams that are designed to support continued growth, stability and service delivery at the local level in Indonesia.

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking experienced professionals to form the KOMPAK technical panel in the following fields of expertise: 
  1. Basic Education Service Management
  2. Health Service Management
  3. Area-based Rural Development Planning (Village Law Framework)
  4. Village Financial Management
  5. Government policy and regulation on regional autonomy and village

Key Selection Criteria – You must address these selection criteria in your Expression of Interest: 
  • Minimum seven years of relevant technical and operational experience
  • Sound understanding of and ability to work within and/or influence government systems
  • Demonstrated sound analytical and writing skills
  • Sound engagement skills with a wide range of government, non-government, and donor organizations; and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in a cross-cultural context
  • Minimum university graduate in relevant discipline
  • Bahasa Indonesia and English language skills preferable
 Key Information
Candidates selected for panel membership will be contacted and screened before being placed on a deed of standing offer. When appropriate consulting opportunities arise, panel members will be contacted and engaged.

Expressions of Interests should be made online via our dedicated careers website and include a current CV, cover letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria and an indication of your areas of technical specialty. Shortlisted applicants may also be asked to undertake a work-simulation exercise, provide evidence of their work or other skills test as part of the selection process.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo relevant background checks including verification of qualifications and credentials, reference checks, prior DFAT or other organization rating or performance results, an international criminal history check, World Bank eligibility checks, and any other checks deemed necessary.
