Interpeace, a Swiss non-profit organisation, works in close partnership with national partner organizations and the UN, with the aim of building lasting peace. Interpeace supports the active involvement of local, national, and international actors in ongoing collective dialogue and participatory policy research that allows societies facing a risk of violent conflict to overcome its internal divisions. Interpeace assists and enables them to collectively respond to social, economic and political challenges. Headquartered in Geneva, Interpeace is supported by bilateral and multilateral donors. The organization is currently active in Africa, Central America, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
The Development and Learning unit is responsible for programme development and support, thematic cross-country programmes, and improving peacebuilding know-how both within Interpeace and for external actors.
Scope of the position:
Working as a member of the Development and Learning Unit and under the supervision of the Head of Learning and Policy, the Development and Learning Intern (Focus Area: Learning and Policy) will contribute to the overall functioning of the unit and various projects/initiatives the Learning and Policy Team carries out through the provision of effective support in research as well as administration and logistical support functions.

Requirements:
- Completion or current pursuit of a postgraduate degree in international relations, peace and conflict studies, human rights, diplomacy or related fields
- Fluency in English required, good command of French and/or Spanish an asset
- Excellent research and writing skills required
- Demonstrated knowledge of peacebuilding and conflict prevention issue; and a strong desire to learn mroe about peacebuilding while making a worthwhile contribution of time and effort to Interpeace
- Good organizational and diplomatic skills
- Ability to manage many tasks at once, work against short deadlines and remain calm and focused
- Knowledge of computer applications

Start date: As soon as possible, for a period of 6 months (full-time)
