Brot für die Welt, Christian Aid, Church of Sweden, ICCO Cooperation and Norwegian Church Aid, as part of the ACT Alliance, are taking a new, energetic approach to our work tackling inequality and poverty in Southern Africa. We are looking to recruit a manager for the initial phase of the change process as we move towards closer ways of working.
About the role
The purpose of the role is to facilitate the process of developing a new entity for ACT in South Africa and to provide organisational development support during the initial phase of the pilot. The role is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The position is based in the joint ACT office in Pretoria, South Africa. About you
You are committed to working towards the application of universal human rights and social justice. You have experience working with International NGOs (INGOs) and civil society in particular in the area of organisational development and change processes. You are an excellent communicator and strong facilitator who finds working in a changing context a welcome challenge. You have proven analytical skills and experience coordinating among different agencies. You get on with people from different backgrounds and cultures, work well independently and are comfortable being managed remotely. Your experience means you have a good knowledge of ACT Alliance agencies and ecumenical movements.
