Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in the Debt Management and Financial Analysis System (DMFAS) Programme of the Debt and Development Finance Branch of UNCTAD's Division on Globalization and Development Strategies. The DMFAS Programme is a technical cooperation programme that provides technical assistance to developing countries to assist them in strengthening their capacity to manage public debt.
Education
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in finance, economics, business administration, international relations or a related field. A first-level of university degree in combination with at least 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of progressively relevant experience in the area of public debt management in developing countries is required. Experience in the provision of training in the area of debt management is desirable, as is demonstrated experience in providing user support through a Helpdesk or similar service. Experience within the United Nations Common system or in international institutions is also desirable. Experience in working with the DMFAS system would be an advantage.
Languages
Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Fluency in French or Spanish or Arabic is also required.
