Sandvik is a global industry group, present in 130 countries, with advanced products and world-leading positions in a multitude of areas. Last year, thirteen of the world's most talented MBA graduates entered our 18-month Global Trainee Program. Selected for their drive and innovative minds, they've commenced a performance-driven career path within a company that truly recognizes the importance of professional development. This September marks the start of Sandvik Future Leaders 2015, as we're giving 15 performance-driven, aspiring leaders an opportunity to embark on the journey of a lifetime. We have three trainee positions available in South Africa.
Your role
During 18 months, you'll experience the array of cultures that form the Sandvik world, while at the same time learning about our business and exploring the excitement of the manufacturing industry. The program provides challenging and rewarding opportunities in which you will be enabled – and expected – to actively contribute to keeping operations at the forefront in our innovative environment. You will take part in projects of strategic importance, while gaining knowledge about Sandvik and obtaining practical experience of our way of doing business.
Your profile
Apart from being a high performing professional with a Master's degree, you are an open-minded hard worker with high aspirations, and a thirst for knowledge. Working in a diverse and international environment intrigues you, and your passion to succeed comes with a solid sense of self-motivation, as well as a determination to set the industry standard. Through your high level of emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills, the program will not only grant you valuable insights in our business operations, but a global network packed with cutting-edge expertise.
Required competencies:
  • Master in Business, Engineering, or Business Administration
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • Ability and willingness to travel globally
Who may apply
