Young Water Expert

by Unknown  |  at  1:23 PM

Are you an international Young Water Expert and would you like to work, in collaboration with the Dutch water sector, on sustainable solutions to water problems? Then the Young Expert Programme Water (Yep Water) is ideal for you!

Dutch organisations recruit their own local Young Experts. So if you would like to become a local Young Expert and you live in one of the countries, you should find a Dutch organisation to employ you. A list of Dutch organisations is available at the Dutch embassy in your country.
Important criteria for local candidates
• Clear affinity with international water challenges:
* efficient water management, especially in the agricultural sector
* improved drainage basin management and safe deltas
* access to clean drinking water and sanitation
• Completed relevant higher vocational education or university education
• Maximum of 8 years work experience, with a maximum of 4 years relevant work experience
• Not already working for the Dutch organization that is offering your nomination
• Nationality of the country where the Young Expert position is offered
• You live in 1 of the countries which is also covered by the Sustainable Water Fund (FDW) and you will be deployed in that specific country
• Fluent in written and spoken English
You can only take part in the YEP Water programme if a Dutch company, knowledge institution or social organization offers you a Young Expert position in one of its International cooperation and development projects. If so, apply to the Dutch organization for one of the countries, with an open letter of application in English, plus a motivational letter and CV.
