Chemonics seeks a surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation senior technical advisor for the anticipated multiyear, USAID Integrated Malaria Program (IMaP) in Mozambique. IMaP will assist the government of Mozambique in reducing malaria mortality, morbidity, and parasitemia. The program will focus on increasing utilization and uptake of quality malaria prevention and control interventions, improving the quality of implementation and use of facility and community-based malaria services, and strengthening data flow within the health-care system. Responsibilities include:
- Provide programmatic and technical management and oversight to all surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation activities
- Coordinate with the President’s Malaria Initiative, the Mozambique Ministry of Health, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of malaria and public health technical assistance
- Coordinate efforts with other stakeholders to ensure resources are efficiently used and to minimize duplication of efforts
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health or a related field
- Minimum five years of senior-level experience in project management in malaria or other public health programs
- Experience in surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation in roles of increasing responsibility
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity
- Excellent English and Portuguese communication skills
