Oxfam is making urgent plans to scale up significantly in Sierra Leone and Liberia, aiming to reach up to 4 million people in the two countries. It is imperative that immediate action is taken in the next 60 days to bring the infection rate down because it is out of control. The key responsibilities of the role will be:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management in the response
- Ensure that appropriate systems use is in place to record monitor and track all expenditure and that a comprehensive financial report is prepared for the Senior Programme Manager on at least a monthly basis.
- Ensure all staff work within a healthy environment and maintain SoPs
- Provide high quality staff management and leadership
- Deal with Staff discipline and HR issues as required
- Ensuring high quality reporting and accountability both internally and to donors
- Responsible for ensuring adequate resourcing people and finances - for finance team which is supporting the response
- Provide effective risk identification and management within the response
