Purpose:
To provide technical support to the Ebola outbreak response team in Information Management, Data Management and Geographic Information Systems.
Objectives:
The current EVD outbreak now involves transmission in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Further countries may become involved. Work by a wide coalition partners is ongoing to ensure that all partner efforts in supporting governments respond to this outbreak are better coordinated. On Friday 25th July 2014 the DG declared the emergency of International Concern upgrading it to Grade 3 in line with the Emergency Response Framework (ERF). This means there is a risk of Ebola spreading to other countries. Within this framework a team has been exclusively dedicated to the Ebola Emergency response, to assist at the sub-national, national and international levels.
iMMAP is hiring multiple individuals for Information Management and GIS positions to support the United Nations Stand by Partner Program. iMMAP is seeking qualified candidates to support the following clusters:
- Nutrition / WASH / Child Protection – UNICEF
- Health – WHO
- Logistic and Food Security Cluster (FSC) – WFP
