We are looking for:
A LOGISTICS MANAGER
Country:ETHIOPIA - Gambella
Length of contract: 6 months starting the 1st of December
The position: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, you will be responsible to implement the logistics policy of the mission to ensure good logistical performance and provide the best possible support to the programs throughout his/her zone.
More precisely, your main activities will be:
- Participating and supervising the set up of the ACF bases in Gambella region (in case a new sub base is opening – depending on new camps locations)
- Implement and ensure performing management of the stock and the supply chain according to the needs of the programs
- Fleet and logistics equipment management
- Implement and ensure the performance of information and communication technology and network management for the emergency program
- Contribute to security management
- Manage the Logistics team in the base
- Reporting and representation
The applicant:You hold a graduate degree in logistics.
You have a previous experience in managing humanitarian logistics on the field for an international NGO, including an experience in a complex environment. You have an experience in base set up and supply chain and have the ability to train a log base and a log team
As a manager, you have developed strong training and capacity-building skills.
Knowledge of ACF logistics operations and practices will be a plus.
Fluent English is required.
Status:
Volunteer status (VSI) or salaried status depending on relevant experience
Gross monthly salary ranging from €1600 to €1975 or €838 of VSI indemnity per month
Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective accommodation and medical insurance
25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris (1 to 2 weeks)
