based in Washington, D.C., seeks candidates for an anticipated basic education
project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Positions
may be based in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, or in regional offices to be determined.

Chief of Party:
·
Minimum 10
years of COP, DCOP, or senior leadership experience managing education programs
in developing countries programs, preferably with USAID in East Africa.
·
Master’s
degree in education, reading, or other relevant field required, Ph.D.
preferred.
·
Demonstrated
skill in collaborating with host-country officials, donors, and stakeholders.
Deputy Chief of Party
·
Minimum 10
years relevant technical experience in early grade reading and program
management in East Africa, preferably in Tanzania.
·
Advanced
degree in education or other relevant field required.

General Qualifications:
·
Advanced
degree in relevant technical area and specialty
·
Minimum 5 years demonstrated
relevant experience in basic education
·
Knowledge and experience
in the Tanzanian education system
·
Experience on USAID or
other donor-funded programs preferred
·
Outstanding leadership,
management, and interpersonal skills
·
Ability to conceptualize
and lead technical tasks
·
Fluency in English
required; proficiency in a Swahili preferred.
·
Commitment to
leadership, versatility, and integrity.
·
