Do you have strong analytical skills? Can you offer those alongside intellectual curiosity, an eye for detail and the ability to communicate? Do you want to apply these skills to help the public sector improve, in a stretching but friendly and supportive environment?
If so, we have some great jobs on offer in London and Newcastle. We scrutinise public spending for Parliament, helping it to hold government to account for how it spends taxpayers’ money and to improve important public services. Each year we produce around 65 value-for-money reports as well as other high-profile work, primarily for Parliament. Our work ranges across the entire public sector, from health and education to transport and international development. It often hits the headlines and always gets the attention of government.
You will have a strong academic background, including at least a 2:1 degree in a numerate discipline (or one with a significant quantitative element), preferably with a postgraduate qualification in economics, statistics, social or operational research, or other relevant discipline. For Analyst posts we will consider applications from exceptional candidates without a postgraduate qualification if they have relevant work experience. For Senior Analysts, we expect significant work experience relevant to the public sector as well as first rate academic credentials.
