The post of Director of Teaching and Learning (Designate) will define and implement EBS’ Teaching and Learning Strategy. This will include the development of the School’s intellectual property and new pedagogies (particularly using technology), the recruitment and development of academic staff throughout the School’s locations and oversight of the academic infrastructure including examinations. As a member of the School’s senior management team, he or she will provide representation to the University’s Learning and Teaching Board and support the overall international success of EBS.
The extent to which prospective candidates appreciate the EBS’ unique ethos, ambition and model of delivery will be critical characteristics. In addition to this, applicants should possess significant academic credibility in a business or management focussed discipline, combined with experience of course development and teaching at a post-graduate level. He or she will also have a personal research profile of note and a track record of Doctoral supervision. Familiarity with international academic operations will also be required, as will the ability to interact successfully with a diverse student and academic staff base.
