We are searching for an HR Adviser for the HR Operations section of our Human Resources Division. The HR Operations Section provides an effective and efficient service on HR work streams including; HR planning, fostering good employee relations, line managers’ people management capacity and performance management.
The HR Adviser will proactively develop working relationships with internal stakeholders and designated client groups on employee relations issues, and where delegated, undertake case management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
The post holder will also provide first line contact and advice to colleagues, line management and Commonwealth Fund for Technical Corporation (CFTC) consultants on terms and conditions of service, provisions of the HR handbook, policy application/interpretation and will support, coach and advise managers to embed effective performance management within the organisation.
To succeed in the role, you will have;
- A degree in any subject from nationally recognised institutions.
- A post graduate qualification in human resources management, employee relations, organisational behaviour or psychology, learning and development or other disciplines relevant to the post.
- It is desirable that you are a member of a nationally recognised human resource body such as CIPD, SHRM.
- At least 5 years’ experience in human resources management, in areas such as human resource planning, recruitment and selection, performance management, contract administration, reward and employee relations.
- Experience of providing HR advice to management at different levels on a variety of issues.
- Knowledge of employment law and codes of good practice as they apply to a particular national context.
- Experience advising and dealing with disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Experience of using HR systems.
It is highly desirable that you will have experience of operating in a business partner role within an international organisation.
