Policy Specialist – Cross Cutting Prudential Policy

by Unknown  |  at  1:44 PM

About us
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is at the very heart of UK Financial Services regulation. We are striving to make financial markets provide a fair deal for consumers and investors. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Policy Specialist to join our Cross Cutting and Prudential Policy Department. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop the strategic response to high-profile issues relating to consumer redress and compensation.
About the role
Join our Redress Policy Team, and you’ll be at the heart of decision making on issues critical to consumers. These may include significant consumer redress issues such as Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) misselling or reviewing the funding arrangements for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). As our expert on consumer redress and/or compensation, you will manage our relationships with the Financial Ombudsman Service
(FOS) and Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) while providing advice to internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including those in central government.
About you
You’ll come to us with experience of the customer redress framework, including working with the Financial Ombudsman Service, the DISP rules and relevant FEES rules and/or experience of working with the FSCS, bringing experience of the compensation framework, including the COMP rules and relevant FEES rules. A self-starter, able to prioritise and deliver to a high standard, you will have the ability to act as a credible representative for our organisation when interacting with very senior stakeholders.
Closing date: midnight on 25 March 2015.
