We are looking for:
A PSYCHOLOGIST – MENTAL HEALTH AND CARE PRACTICES PROGRAM MANAGER
Context: LIBERIA based in Monrovia to work on Ebola emergency context
Length of contract: 3 months starting as soon as possible
The Position: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, you will be responsible to implement, coordinate and monitor the Mental Health and Care Practices (MHCP) in collaboration with the other ACF departments.
More specially, you will be in charge of:
Communication & coordination with the authorities, partners, organisations and UN agencies
- Organise bilateral meetings with the potential partners and relevant authorities
- Take part to the different meetings (Mental Health and Psychosocial working group, protection and Child Protection meeting …)
- Implement and maintain partnerships for practice exchanges, referrals…
Management of the MHCP program
- Ensure the timely production of monthly and technical reports from the field; provide feedback when required on quality and quantity aspects of the activities.
- Follow up the activities, analyse and evaluate the programs; conduct field visits as required. Elaborate the monitoring tools
- Adapt the project’s objectives/results/activities/methodology if relevant
- Ensure good coordination and representation towards and partners
Capacity building of the national team
-Identify the MHCP team : recruitment process, in close coordination with the HR department
- Evaluate the skills and needs in terms of training and elaborate training plans
- Organize training of trainers on Psychological First Aid and other relevant trainings linked with MHPSS and Care Practices
- Ensure initial and on-going training of psychosocial staff on Psychosocial and Care Practices activities
- Provide support to the national team by supervising regularly the MHCP activities
Ensure the development of ACF mission in Liberia
- Be aware of the possibility of funding for the MHCP programs in Liberia
- Maintain a good level of information on the MHPSS actors and activities in the region
- Take part to the redaction of proposal if requested
The Applicant:You hold a master degree in psychology with expertise in psychosocial sector and humanitarian field.
You have at least 5 years of experience (2 years minimum in humanitarian sector) and have the capacity to work in a complex environment with different levels of coordination.
Recognized for your relational and communicational skills, you have developed strong training and team supervision capacities.
A first experience in both urban and rural context will be a plus.
You are able to manage stress link to Ebola outbreak and precaution requirements.
Your English (oral and written) is fluent.
Status:
Volunteer status (VSI) or salaried status depending on relevant experience
Gross monthly salary ranging from €1600 to €1975 or €838 of VSI indemnity per month
Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective accommodation and medical insurance
25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris (1 to 2 weeks)
