Programme Manager, DFID Regional Programmes

The primary responsibility of this role is to further our mission of ensuring the individual’s right to**: children by choice, not chance.**
The Role:
This key Programme Management role will support the Head of Regional Programmes in providing high quality project management of the regional contracts. It will provide key day-to-day management of the regional contracts and ensure country programmes and support office teams are reporting, spending and delivering as per proposal deliverables and objectives. The role includes strategic data analysis of programme performance and report compilation.
The role will support the Head of DFID regional contracts and the DFID team with project budget management and in-country programme support for delivering on agreed objectives. The role will build relationships across the organisation, including international operations, Health Systems Department, Legal & Donor Compliance, the Impact team, Security and the Procurement & Logistics teams.
About you:
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:
  • Project management experience, preferably gained within the reproductive healthcare sector or related field
  • Proven experience working cross-team, generating consensus and support from multiple internal stakeholders, and leading people through complex processes
  • Strong project and finance management experience including budgeting, budget tracking and analysing financial performance.
  • Experience in international development, including developing country work experience
