Master Driller
The role
The purpose of this role is to facilitate, transfer learning to operators and ensure Drills capability by physical operation in line with a specific unit standard requirement. This service is rendered to Sandvik Mining clients (internal & external), according to customer requirements and OEM specifications, SETA, Qualifications authority and SHEQ standards.
Key performance areas
- Demonstrate the drilling process to operators.
- Transfer Drills operational knowledge to operators.
- Train operators on new technologies and upgrades of Sandvik Drills
- Conduct basic Drills maintenance and set up parameters to ensure optimal capability outputs on XLP, LP, HP & Long holes drills
- Conduct Drills performance and applications analysis with recommendations for improvements.
- Lead and manage projects for Sandvik Drills sustainability.
- Record, store and analyse findings on Drills performance and make recommendations where necessary.
- Compile feedback report for each completed tasks for submission to key stakeholders.
Your Profile
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent Qualification
- Certificate of Competence in ETDP or related qualification as Adult Education Facilitator
- Proven competence in Course Design and Development
- Sandvik Product Specialist
- Indigenous language competence (excluding English)
- Basic computer literacy
- English language proficiency
- Be able to work flexible hours & travel extensively
Certificates
- Assessor's certificate
- Moderator's certificate
- Trade or blasting certificate
- Sandvik Underground operator's certificates or Technical certificates
- First Aid certificate
- Fitness certificate
Added advantages/ experience in:
- Sandvik Product specialist
- Minimum 3 years experience & proven competence as operator/specialist on Sandvik products
