Communication Specialist : Sierra Leone

We are looking for a exceptional, highly experienced Communication Specialist to join our Emergency Response Team in Sierra Leone. You will be responsible forleading the development and implementation of communication strategies in order to position Plan Sierra Leone’s Ebola response programming both at national and international levels. In addition you will you maximize positive media coverage and fundraising opportunities and support accountability to key stakeholders by communicating the humanitarian situation and Plan's emergency operations.
Essential
  • Proven humanitarian communication experience (part of which must be field).
  • Relevant qualification
  • Proven experience in media or public relations, preferably in an international setting;
  • Ability to act as a spokesperson
  • Excellent communication skills: Fluent in English
Type of Role:4 Months Contract - Unaccompanied
Location:Sierra Leone
Reports to:Emergency Response Manager
Closing Date:5 January 2015
