In order to facilitate and to maximize the impact of the humanitarian operations financed by the Commission in West Africa, the expert will be appointed to the post of humanitarian Technical Assistant/Administrative Coordinator (AC) by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection - ECHO.
The Administrative Coordinator will be based in Dakar, Senegal. He/she will be responsible, under the guidance of the Head of Regional Support Office and supervision of DG ECHO headquarters, for the administrative and financial management, including the management of contractual, staffing, administrative, financial and logistical issues in the offices under his/her area of responsibility. He/she will be required to carry out regular missions in other countries in the framework of the functioning of the ECHO offices under his/her responsibility.
He/she should also be prepared to react to a current or evolving crisis in another country/region following a request by ECHO Brussels.
Qualification requirements:
Language requirements: mastering of at least 2 languages: English or French as L1; French, English, Spanish, Arabic or Russian as L2.

At least 5 years of experience in administrative and financial management and at least 2 years of experience in the field of humanitarian aid. Previous working experience in Africa will be considered an asset.
