We are seeking an individual with understanding/experience of systems administration, who has the breadth of knowledge to work independently without close supervision. You will deputise for the Faculty Systems Administrator whilst he is engaged in Health and Safety duties and will work as part of a team that provides IT support to all Faculty staff and postgraduate students. You will work alongside the Faculty Systems Administrator to administer the Faculty’s Active Directory and Windows servers. You will also work within the team to troubleshoot and set up new servers. The role is suitable for individuals who enjoy working with a variety of different IT systems.
The role is flexible from a minimum of 0.5 FTE up to, and including, 1.0 FTE periods of working. This is negotiable with the successful candidate and is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible working options.

You should have an Honours degree or equivalent in computer sciences, system administration or similar, or have equivalent experience in systems administration. Experience of practical systems administration of PC’s and Window Server Technologies and Active Directory administration is essential.
