Community Linkages Officer

Overseas Strategic Consulting, Ltd. (OSC), in coordination with its partner PATH, for the Thrive Project, seeks suitable Zambian national candidates to fill the position of Community Linkages Officer in Central Province.
Candidates must possess the skills and capacity to:
  • Conduct mapping of target populations, key opinion leaders and stakeholders including CBOs, NGOs, FBOs and strategic (USAID) partners for BCC/IPC entry points and strategic partnerships.
  • Assist in developing a BCC strategy to promote nutrition and HIV health services and products.
  • Identify and recruit existing CBOs (health/nutrition providers and wrap-around service providers).
  • Build the capacity of CBOs to identify nutritionally vulnerable households and individuals, link them to available services, provide counseling and support on improved behaviors, and provide HEPS.
  • Conduct regular training and mentoring of CBOs in participatory communication techniques.
  • Coordinate and supervise the implementation of BCC campaigns by CBOs and assist with monitoring program activities.
This position also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English (with skills in other regional languages being advantageous), 3-5 years of relevant work experience, and a university degree.
