The University of Bath is one of the UK's top 10 Universities with an international reputation for research and teaching at the highest academic standards. The University's buildings are set in an attractive campus about a mile from the centre of Bath, a World Heritage City.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with an extensive background in IT Project Management, technology delivery and IT Service Management to join the University’s Department of Computing Services. The Small Systems team is a new addition to the Department. Through close engagement with the business, the team will identify opportunities and assess and prioritise them to deliver a range of technology projects which bring lasting business value to the University. This will include applications developed for the University’s SharePoint platform as well as applications developed using the Java Spring framework. These will be delivered through a combination of in-house and externally commissioned engagements.
This full time role reports to the Assistant Director Management Information Systems. It requires a highly self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and technical skills. Experience of business analysis, supplier management, project and programme management methodologies and SharePoint or Java would be advantageous. The postholder will lead a small team of systems developers. The Department and the University offer extensive opportunities for personal and professional development.
