Psychosocial Specialist : Guinea

We are looking for exceptional, highly experienced Psychosocial Specialistto join our Emergency Ebola Response Team in Guinea.
Working closely with the Child Protection Advisor you will be responsible for:
· Designing and delivering interventions for psychosocial support for children and their care givers, linked with Plan child protection interventions and with programs in education, health, water, sanitation and hygiene
· Designing and delivering of psychosocial support actions for Plan staff and its partner organizations
· Represent Plan in PSS coordination and cluster meetings
· Ensure Plan interventions align with recognized standards and guidelines, including Inter Agency Standing Committee guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings (MHPSS) and relevant government guidelines
Qualifications and experience
  • Experience in psychosocial support and protection for children, especially in emergency settings
  • Experience in designing psychosocial support interventions for children in humanitarian settings, including in Child Friendly Spaces and temporary learning spaces
  • Experience of training on psychosocial support with a variety of audiences.
  • Skills in psychosocial assessment, monitoring and evaluation
  • University degree (or demonstrated equivalent capacity) in an appropriate field such as psychology, social work, health, education
  • Communication skills: Fluent in French
A strong leader, with the ability to make effective decisions quickly, you will be an experienced emergency psychosocial professional with a demonstrable track record leading and managing emergency responses. You will have extensive knowledge of the sector, applicable standards and donors in emergency. Excellent communication skills: Fluent French
Type of Role :6 Months Contract - Unaccompanied
Location :Guinea
Reports to :Emergency Response Manager
