Senior Protection Coordinator

Salary: £26,364 – £35,656 per annum net. Net salary means that Oxfam GB will meet the tax and social security liabilities of post-holder in addition to net salary.
Contract Type: Fixed Term – 1 year until 31/12/2015
Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week
Location: South Sudan
Oxfam works with others to overcome poverty and suffering. As part of a global movement for change, we are working together to end world poverty and injustice.
The Protection team purpose is to ensure Oxfam’s support for the delivery of safe programming in humanitarian programmes and integrate protection activities into humanitarian responses as appropriate. This is an opportunity to support the development and implementation of Oxfam GB’s humanitarian and development programmes in South Sudan by providing specialist support on humanitarian protection and safe programming
We are looking for applicants with a post-graduate qualification in law, international relations, politics or other relevant areas, with proven involvement in humanitarian response work.
You’ll have also a strong understanding of protection issues and gender dynamics of protection work, and proven experience in the provision of technical advice and support to field programmes.
