TANZANIA - CONSULTANT TO DEVELOP GOOD YOUTH PRACTICES HANDBOOK

Restless Development is the leading youth-led development agency, operating in Tanzania since 1993. Our mission is to place young people at the forefront of change for them to effectively contribute to real progress towards national and global development targets. Our vision is that young people are taking up leadership roles which contribute to the urgent development needs of Tanzania as set out by National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty (NSGRP II) in support of the government, civil society and the private sector. Restless Development launched a new strategy in 2011 to ensure our efforts aligned to MKUKUTA II and the National Youth Development Policy.
Restless Development is seeking to work with a qualified consultant to develop a handbook for youth good practices. The consultancy will consist of gathering evidence based information from young people in particular and the community at large to showcase and document tangible outcomes of Restless Development interventions through capturing change stories of both primary and secondary beneficiaries’ .in the last five years. The exercise will be carried out for a period of 27 days cumulatively using methodologies and sampling technics that will be discussed between Restless Development and the consultant. A desk review of Restless Development past reports, documentaries/video clips, and newspaper cutting and other supporting manuals will be provided to the consultant as additional methodology to gather bother qualitative and quantitative data. The structure and contents of the document will also be decided in consultation with Restless Development and consultant, but it will include programmatic data and description of activities, as well as human-interest stories at a minimum.

  • The proposed work plan
  • The budget breakdown including fees and fieldwork costs.
  • Contactable references of past credible INGO/NGO organizational / programme work carried out by the consultant(s)
  • Two examples of similar approved work.
