Organisational and Partnership Adviser

As our Organisational Development and Partnership Adviser, based within our Performance and Accountability department in the International Division, you will provide quality technical and advisory support in organisational development and partnerships to our international programmes.
The purpose of this role is to improve the quality and impact of the British Red Cross' international programming and the effectiveness of British Red Cross’ National Society partners in Africa and Asia. Specifically this will be achieved by:
· Working with staff to identify opportunities for the British Red Cross to provide capacity building and organisational development support to its partner national societies and its overseas branches. This could include programme planning and design, developing management tools, carrying out capacity assessments, support to strategy development, undertaking programme and learning reviews;
· Supporting the teams in effective partnership working, scoping potential new partner national societies, negotiating new partnerships, reviewing partnerships and developing milestones and developing transition and exit plans, in line with the British Red Cross' Cooperation Framework and the Code of Good Partnership;
· Working with others in the Red Cross/Red Crescent movement and wider sector to ensure good practice, encourage innovation and coordinated working, and share learning
Overseas experience in the humanitarian sector is essential as will be your considerable practical experience and up to date knowledge of working in support of partner organisations including organisational development and capacity building.
This role will involve international travel for up to 90 days per year and will require you to work in a physically demanding environment.
