Coordinateur Regional Togo & Benin

BACKGROUND:
The Chain of Hope is a 1901 law association created in 1994. It aims to help children from developing countries by providing medical and surgical care they can get in their countries and facilitating their access to quality education.
As part of its development in West Africa, the Chain of Hope is recruiting a regional coordinator for activities in Togo and Benin.
Togo:
The Chain of Hope is present since 2002 in the field of education with an enrollment program nearly a thousand children in primary and secondary schools in poor neighborhoods of Lome. This program is in partnership with The Chain of Hope antenna Togo.
In the area of ​​health, the Chain of Hope operates since 2008 with multi-year missions pediatric surgery. Since 2014, she is also involved in the formation of many pediatric surgeons at the University Hospital of Lome.
Benin:
In the field of education, she worked since 2011 for the education of poor children in partnership with the NGO Welfare and Development.
In the area of ​​health, the Chain of Hope comes to the hospital of the Mother and Child Lagoon (HOMEL) Cotonou with multi-year assignments in general pediatric surgery. It contributes to the training of pediatric surgeons and is also involved in orthopedic and visceral surgery at the hospital Tanguiéta (North Benin).
GENERAL MISSIONS
  • Ensure proper coordination of programs between the Chain of Hope and its partners in Togo and Benin.
  • Support local partners in achieving their missions.
  • Prepare an annual budget of activities and follow up with local partners.
  • Support local partners in Togo and Benin in the project finance research in the fields of education and health.
  • Building relationships with local stakeholders in education and health (local authorities, NGOs, health facility, international cooperation ...) to create synergies.
  • Organize regular assessments of activities and propose to the seat, if necessary, shifts to maximize the effectiveness of the actions of The Chain of Hope.
  • Consider creating bridges between Health and Education programs as soon as this seems relevant.
  • Review all agreements and contracts. Formalize partnerships.
  • Analyze the organization of The Chain of Hope antenna Togo and propose any revisions to the chart.
  • Review the circuits suppliers and optimize costs for purchases.
SPECIAL MISSIONS
As part of the Education program :
  • Conduct a study and make proposals for:
  • globalize the support provided to children in the program
  • provide health care for children more efficiently
  • implement new projects with particular emphasis on the quality of education provided to children
  • increasing the involvement of the local community in the program (EPA / Committees ...)
As part of the health program:
  • Ensure the development of pediatric surgeons training activities in cooperation with officials of DES countries in the sub-region.
  • Ensure proper coordination of the organization of pediatric surgery missions to Togo and Benin with the health coordinator Togo & Benin seat.
  • Organize the surgical management of children for procedures that are performed outside of Togo and Benin.
  • Careful monitoring of stocks in relation to those responsible for the chain's Espoir.PROFIL OF APPLICANT:
Training
  • Project management training and international relations
Experience
  • Experience in management of international projects (minimum 2 years) in humanitarian organizations (NGOs).
  • Experience required in the management of health and education projects
Languages
  • Fluency in French and English
