Background
ChildFund International intends to engage a Project Manager with expertise on strategies for mobilizing and training local officials and community members to break EVD transmission, and respond to the psychosocial needs of people affected by the EVD epidemic in eight Guinean prefectures. The Project Manager will lead overall project implementation for 6 months, develop work plans, technical reports, and support the overall management of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
In close collaboration with ChildFund staff, the Project Manager will:
- Provide overall leadership to the project ensuring that ChildFund provides key deliverables within agreed timeline and cost.
- Serve as the principal institutional liaison to USAID/OFDA and National Ebola Response Committee. S/he will manage a team of senior staff and sub-partners and ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products and activities generated under the project.
- Preparing planning documents and project reports.
- Represent ChildFund International and the project in meetings in-country.
- Ensure that ChildFund stays abreast of and provides inputs into sector/technical-based collaborative meetings and working groups, such as health cluster-based meetings, and ensure that pertinent information (such as UN-based 3W details) are kept up to date and shared in a timely fashion.
