CARE is an organization driven by its mission to overcome poverty and social injustice. The CARE ECSA Regional Office is responsible for the oversight of CARE’s operations in the region as well as the provision of support to Country Offices. We work with 16 Country Offices in the region. We are seeking competent, innovative, self-driven and passionate individuals who will be flexible and able to travel extensively within the region to fill the position of Regional Budget Analyst.
The Regional Budget Analyst is responsible for the sound budget analysis and management within the East Central & Southern Africa (ECSA) Region and the Regional Management Unit (RMU). S/he provides technical support in budget preparation to Country Offices in the region. S/he will work closely with Shared Service Center (SSC), Regional Management Unit (RMU) and COs to ensure appropriate budget support and resources are available.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in accounting, finance or a related discipline. S/he will have significant experience in finance and administration, preferably in the development sector. Experience using large scale automated financial systems (ledger, budgeting and reporting) and spreadsheets/databases required. S/he will have solid accounting systems experience and thorough understanding of financial accounting, financial analysis, reporting, grants and contract management process, and be able to support others to work effectively on those issues. The ideal candidate will also need solid experience of accounting systems as well as financial accounting, financial analysis, reporting, grants and contract management process.
