Resource Development Coordinator – Core Income

Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
Main function: The Resource Development Coordinator (Core Income) leads on fundraising for, reporting on, and managing the core grants the TI Secretariat holds with a range of bilateral donors.
Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration: limited for 2 years with the possibility of extension
Location: TI-Secretariat, Berlin, Germany
Department: Resource Development Department
Reporting lines: Resource Development Manager
Job grade: III
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all donor proposals to which the Resource Development Coordinator contributes align fully with TI Strategy 2015 priorities
  • Within the fundraising strategy set by the Resource Development Manager for a given portfolio, research, approach, negotiate and manage particular donor files (particularly focussing on the management of TI-S core contracts)
  • Support the Resource Development Manager in the overall implementation of a given fundraising strategy
  • Support TI-S departments and Chapters’ fundraising focused on his/her assigned donor/Resource Development portfolio(s) and provide specialist expertise to help raise capacity and capability
  • Lead on reporting to donors providing core funding to TI-S, namely the TI-S annual implementation report and the DFID Programme Partnership Arrangement (PPA) annual review; also responsible for the wider contractual management of these core donor arrangements
  • Contribute to the work of and be the RDD liaison to a range of organisational processes of relevance to fundraising in general and core contracts in specific (e.g. M&E, VFM, TI-S annual planning)
  • Liaise and coordinate with TI-S colleagues responsible for institutional reporting to other stakeholders, ensuring consistency and sharing of knowledge and information
Knowledge, experience and skills:
  • University degree or professional qualification in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences or other relevant fields
  • Minimum five years‘ experience in fundraising, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and donor reporting (including financials)
  • Knowledge of and experience in project management (planning, budgeting, implementation, review)
  • Knowledge of and experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Flexible and adaptable to organizational priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and capable of working under pressure and against deadlines
  • Excellent communication, impeccable presentation and strong networking skills
  • Complete business fluency in English (both written and spoken) essential; additional languages (particularly French and/or Spanish) an asset
  • Anti-corruption expertise an advantage
