FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION Intern
IMPACT Initiatives is an humanitarian NGO, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The organisation manages several initiatives, including the REACH Initiative, which was created in 2010 to facilitate the development of information tools and products that enhance the capacity of aid actors to make evidence-based decisions in emergency, recovery and development contexts. The IMPACT team comprises specialists in data collection, management and analysis, GIS and remote-sensing which operate in 13 countries. We are currently looking for a Finance and Administration Intern to support the IMPACT Initiatives team in Geneva.

Remuneration: 1050CHF/month
Supervision
The Finance and Administration Intern works under the direct supervision and management of the Chief Finance and Administration Manager and the Executive Director.
The Finance and Administration Intern provides support to various tasks undertaken by IMPACT Initiative’s Geneva office. These include a number of office administrative, logistics, filing and finance tasks, including the assistance in the organisation of the IMPACT expats deployments in the field and the monthly recording and filing of expenses.
Tasks
The Finance and Administration Intern contributes to general administrative and filing duties in the office, including purchases and human resources follow up.
1. Finance
The Finance and Administration Intern provides support to the Chief Finance and Administration Manager regarding monthly accounting, follow up of expenses and filling.
2.Logistics
Supported by the Finance and Administration Officer, the Finance and Administration Intern organizes Geneva team deployments to the field which includes ordering flight tickets, visas, pick up and accommodation. S/he will also work on the organization of Geneva Office and management of office’s physical and electronic filing system.
3.Secretariat
The Finance and Administration Intern will answer IMPACT’s phone and guide calls to the right interlocutor within IMPACT. S/he ensures external people welcoming in the office.
4.Confidentiality
The Finance and Administration Intern is required to maintain the strictest confidentiality of data and processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- French spoken and written fluently with very good knowledge of English;
- Diploma in administration or graduation in relevant field;
- Capacity to work independently and under pressure;
- Organized person, with attention to detail and rigor;
- Interest in the humanitarian field;
- Perfect knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
