Legal Expert in Anti-Corruption matters (Job 2015/5)
 
A government agency in the state of Qatar is looking for a qualified expert who meets the following profile description:

Position: Legal Expert (Anti-Corruption)

Scope of Work:
 
Work on legal aspects of designing and implementing anti-corruption programs and projects in the State of Qatar. This includes analysis of Qatari legislation and their application in anti-corruption programs. Evaluate anti-corruption programs in place and propose improvements so that they meet requirements of Qatari laws and relevant international treaties or laws (UNCAC and other international treaties and laws, such as the UK Bribery Act, etc.).
 
Profile requirements:
 
Academic:
  • Degree in Law. Bachelor’s level degree.
  • List any academic or policy related work, such as publications, relevant projects.
Professional:
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with 5 years in related field.
  • Extensive knowledge in legislation related to anti-corruption. Experience with the Qatari (or a similar) legal system and the capacity to identify, analyze and apply relevant laws in the design and implementation of anti-corruption programs and projects.
  • Previous work in the public sector and Arabic Speaker is considered a plus.
  • Any relevant professional work considering scope of work should be listed and briefly described.
Skills:
  • Computer literacy ( MS Office) is essential.
  • For Native Arabs fluency in Arabic ( oral and written is essential), Basic English is a minimum requirement.
  • For non-Arabs expatriates fluency in English ( oral and written) is essential.   
  • Strong interpersonal skills (ability to work as a team player, capacity to adapt to the needs of the working environment).
  • Capacity to work independently, proactively identify needs and requirements of tasks and propose solutions.
  • Capacity to organize complex matters and present them professionally.
