Exciting Employment Opportunity for a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist in Northern Uganda.

Job Description

Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is seeking Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Integrated Health Activity in Northern Uganda. This project aims to increase utilization of health services through increased availability of and accessibility to health services, improved quality of health services and increased availability of resources for public sector health services. Key aims of the program arereduction in HIV infections, total fertility, maternal and child mortality, malnutrition, malaria and tuberculosis (TB).

The M&E Specialists will assist the Director of Strategic Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning to design M&E systems to accurately capture project supported data on a timely basis. Additionally, Specialists may provide technical assistance to beneficiaries and carry out strategic learning and evaluation activities.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in public health, public policy, statistics or other relevant degree;
  • Experience in Uganda and/or East Africa region in the design, management and implementation of similarly large donor-funded health programs;
  • Experience in the design and implementation of M&E systems for health programs;
  • 5+ years of directly relevant experience;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional Fluency in English;
  • Ugandan nationals are strongly encouraged to apply
