Humanitarian Evaluation Consultant; Nationals & Residents of Guinea

Period: 15 days (approx.)
Starting Date: Early May 2016
Reporting to: Evaluation team leader
The consultant will be part of a team conducting an evaluation of a UN agency’s emergency response to the Ebola crisis.
Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct desk review with specific attention to coverage areas (see Requirements below)
  2. Ensure that gender analysis is incorporated in coverage areas
  3. Full-time participation in field-based data collection
  4. Contribute to overall analysis for the evaluation report
  5. Draft report sections associated with coverage areas
Requirements:
  • Evaluation experience (preferably related to UN agencies)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Fluent (written and spoken) in English and French
  • Expertise and experience in one or more of the following coverage areas: i) supply chain & logistics ii) capacity development iii) emergency preparedness.
