UNFPA is on the ground improving lives in more than 150 countries. UNFPA’s Strategic Plan sets out the ambitious results we aim to achieve over 2014-2017, as well as a continued agenda for organizational change to deliver results, both smarter and faster. The Deputy Executive Director for Management (“DED Management”) will lead a transformation process in support of initiatives which include the advancement of ICPD priorities aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals and Post 2015 development agenda as well as substantive advocacy and policy dialogue with governments, civil society, the private sector and development partners to further promote UNFPA’s mandate.
The DED Management leads the organization to achieve operational excellence in all of its core management and operational functions, and ensure transparency and accountability in its operations. These functions include finance, information services, human resources, procurement, and security. S/He also leads the activities related to South-South and Triangular cooperation as well as the UN Reform agenda.
The DED Management role is at the Assistant Secretary-General (“ASG”) level, reporting directly to the Executive Director.
