Sightsavers has an opportunity for an experienced Researcher with a strong interest in health and disability research to join its Policy and Strategic Programme Support team.
The post holder will work with our global research team and will be responsible for supporting research and other evidence generating activities within Sightsavers’ health, education and social inclusion programmes in West Africa.
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics or related discipline. You will have a good knowledge of different research methods including both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Candidates with a good knowledge and experience of research in West Africa will be of particular interest. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to plan and supervise research projects are required for this post, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ideally French. The postholder must be able to travel for up to 16 weeks a year.
