In 20 countries around the world, we train health care professionals and partner with governments and communities to make high-quality family planning and sexual and reproductive health services available—today and for generations to come.
EngenderHealth is looking to expand its talent pool of Senior Technical Advisors and Technical Advisors to provide quality improvement and assurance of service delivery in the following areas: reproductive health/family planning services (long and short acting methods of contraception, reversible methods of contraception, etc.), maternal health, integration of HIV, gender, as well as private sector service delivery (i.e. private providers, social franchising, social marketing, private insurance schemes, etc.).
The profiles sought are as follow
Senior Technical Advisor, Family Planning Service Delivery
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in public health, medical/ health sciences, or relevant field, and have extensive expertise serving as a Technical Advisor for global projects. He/ She must have over 10 years' experience providing technical assistance in public-sector funded health programs (USAID, DFID, CDC, etc.) in areas listed above. S/he is expected to provide leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic and technical integrity of the program. S/he is responsible for achieving the planned results set out for service provision and quality assurance/improvement as set out by the program. Experience supervising technical advisors in multiple countries in Sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia preferred.
Technical Advisors (multiple vacancies anticipated)
Candidates must possess a medical degree (MD, MBBS), clinical degrees (such as nursing), or a university degree in a related, relevant field. Must have at least 7 years in areas listed above. S/he must have eexperience providing technical assistance for public-sector funded health programs in areas listed above.
All candidates are expected to have a very good command of both written and spoken English. Good command of French preferred.
