The Waikato Management School is an internationally renowned business school with triple crown accreditation and offers highly regarded degrees including the four-year Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Business Analysis (Financial), Master degrees in Professional Management (MPM) and Business Management (MBM), Master of Management Studies, Master of Professional Accounting, an executive MBA, together with the research degrees MPhil and PhD.
The Department of Accounting staff contribute to the areas of; Auditing, Taxation, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Commercial Law and the department also has links with the accounting industry and international research institutions.
Applications are invited from individuals with expertise and passion for Accounting research and teaching. We are open to a range of Accounting research specialisations including Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Financial Management/Treasury or Accounting Information Systems.
You will have demonstrated your expertise through scholarship and publications and will be committed to giving impetus to the development of research, postgraduate programmes, and the establishment of research teams as well as contributing to teaching at all levels. The appointee will be expected to develop links and strengthen working relationships with related departments across the university, as well as community and national organisations.
You will be suitably qualified, with a relevant PhD, have proven academic leadership skills with the ability to mentor staff. Success in winning external research grants would be advantageous.
Current salary range for Associate Professors is NZ$110,311 to NZ$125,668 per year, and the salary range for Professors is minimum NZ$128,461 per year.
