Non-Tenure Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Environmental Economics and Policy (Ref.: 201500211)
Applications are invited for appointment as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Environmental Economics and Policy in The Kadoorie Institute, from as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
The Institute promotes awareness and understanding of sustainability and environmental issues through interdisciplinary research and policy studies, teaching, innovative community outreach initiatives, and knowledge exchange programmes for both Hong Kong and the wider international community. Applicants should possess demonstrated teaching and research strengths with a proven ability to secure research funding. They should have published on interdisciplinary subjects related to sustainability such as climate change and low carbon economy, energy policies, corporate strategies, and food and water security issues. The appointee will teach, administer and develop courses in the Common Core and Taught Masters programmes; and provide dissertation supervision to postgraduates.
A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as annual leave, and medical benefits. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
